WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT IN WEDDING PHOTOS / JORDAN EDENS PHOTOGRAPHY
That’s up to you! As you think through and get excited for your wedding day, I also invite you to think about your walls, your coffee table, grandma’s ornate picture frames… Think about the photos that you want to display in those areas. On your wall, perhaps a sweet bride and groom moment. Or maybe a cluster of frames showing off your newly united families and all of the amazing people who attended your wedding. For your coffee table an album detailing the day, and helping the two of you to remember the best day and the best moments. And grandma is definitely going to want to see a photo of the two of you beaming back at her and showing off your beautiful wedding gown!
There isn’t a right or wrong answer to the question of what is most important in wedding pictures. Each couple has their own preference, and will want to see and remember the day through their photos in their own way. As a photographer, I am committed to capturing the entire day, but I also want to pay close and special attention, and possibly even give more time, to the parts of the day that you as a couple want to cherish the most when it’s all over.
When I got married, my ‘most important’ was hands down photos of my husband and I. And specifically photos that showcased the landscape surrounding us since we were getting married in a different state than we were currently living! I knew I wanted to be able to print a few statement photos to use as decorations in our new home! And by a few, I mean a lot of statement pieces and more than one photo album!
All this is to say, the latest trendy photos on Pinterest and lists telling you what is important in wedding day photos mean nothing compared to the moments the two of you will treasure in your own wedding photos.
